Programme Structure (Major Students)
Students who wish to major in the study of Religion and Human Values have the option to choose courses from the following broad areas:
i. Bible & Society
ii. Islam & Society
iii. Church & Society
iv. Ethics & Society
v. African Traditional Religion & Society
Major students should take CORE courses from their specialised areas and ELECTIVE courses that would be mounted in the department.
Students from other departments who take courses from the department are provided with a variety of core and elective courses. Students combining Religion and Human Values with other subject(s) are supposed to take a minimum of two (2) courses totalling six (6) credits or a maximum of three (3) courses totalling nine (9) credits at the Department in each semester, preferably from among the CORE courses, including RHV 304: Comparative Study of Religion.
