Prof. Kwadwo Opoku-Agyemang Invited to Deliver a Lecture at the State University of New York
Prof. Kwadwo Opoku-Agyemang of the Department of English will deliver the 2012 Dr. Ralph R. Watkins Africana Lecture Series under the invitation of the State University of New York, Oneonta, USA. The lecture forms part of the University’s Faculty-in-Residence programme.
In addition, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang will mount a creative writing workshop, and hold public readings from his new book Highlife and Kind Hearts at various up-state New York Universities. He will be based at the Department of Africana and Latino Studies where he has been a visiting scholar each summer for the last ten years. He will be away for two weeks, from March 25 to April 7, 2012.
Last semester, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang was on sabbatical leave at Grand Valley State University, Allendale, Michigan, where he was visiting professor in literature at the Brooks College of Interdisciplinary Studies.
