Participants in the retreat

Management of the University of Cape Coast has held a four-day retreat to develop operational plan as part of the implementation of the 2023-2027 Corporate Plan.

The retreat brought together, Provosts, Deans and Directors to strategise, collaborate to effectively implement the strategic plan of the University to propel it to a higher height.

Also present were the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Rosemond Boohene and Registrar, Mr. Jeff Teye Emmanuel Onyame.

Ghanaians have been charged to hold accountable individuals whose actions and inactions degrade the environment. 

 The Central Regional Chief Manager of the Ghana Water Limited (GWL), Mr. Eric Seth Atiapah, who gave the charge, explained that pollution of water bodies and degradation of the environment were making it too expensive for the GWL to operate water treatment plants in many communities in the country.

The Valco Trust Hall, University of Cape Coast has organised a Send-off ceremony for its immediate past Hall Master and two Hall Tutors to appreciate their exceptional leadership qualities and dedicated services.

They are Prof. Samuel Essien-Baidoo, immediate past Hall Master; Dr. (Mrs.) Rita Holm Adzovie, and Mr. Anthony Acquah- all former Hall Tutors.

The School of Nursing and Midwifery of the University of Cape Coast has organised a farewell dinner for American students from the Kirkhof College of Nursing, Grand Valley State University (GVSU), USA.

The visit by the students was aimed at exposing them to hands-on practical knowledge and experience of the Ghanaian healthcare system.

March 8 every year is earmarked by the United Nations (UN) to celebrate the successes of women.

The School of Sustainable Engineering (SSE) of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) has held a day’s entrepreneurial engineering workshop for faculty and students of the school.

Themed, “Fostering an Entrepreneurial Mindset in Engineering Classrooms”, the workshop had two resource persons from the University of Bucknell in the United States of America; Prof Joseph Tranquillo and Prof. Brad Putman facilitating.
