The Vice-President of the Republic of Ghana, Mr. Kwesi Amissah-Arthur has launched the prestigious Diamond Club of the University of Cape Coast at a grand ceremony at Labadi Beach Hotel.

The Distance Education Students Association of Ghana, University of Cape Coast (DESAG-UCC) has held its 8th Annual National Delegates Congress at the Sunyani Polytechnic in the Brong Ahafo Region on the theme; Distance Education, a Tool for Economic Sustainability and National Development. The three-day congress brought together 360 delegates from 79 Study Centres of the College of Distance Education in the ten (10) regions of Ghana.

The Chief of Ewiansa, Nana Yaw Fatoho II of the Mpoho Traditional Area, Western Region known in private life as Conrad Nana Yanney, and a staff of the University of Cape Coast Main Library has been formally introduced to the University Management at the Council Chamber. Among the entourage of Nana Yaw Fataho were the Apewosika Chief, Nana Kweku Enu III, Obaahemaa Yaa Nketsiaa II, Ebusuapaynin Apo Nkrumah and other family members.

The ERPA International Congresses on Education 2016 that will be held in Kazan Federal University, Kazan / Russian Federation from 2 to 5 June 2016. The conference will enable you to share your research with an international research community and to engage in discussion about the current issues in the field of education. Congress languages are English, Russian, and Turkish.

The University Teachers Association of Ghana, UCC Chapter (UTAG-UCC) has organised debate for candidates contesting for the position of Pro-Vice-Chancellor. The election is to be conducted on campus on Thursday December 3, 2015. The debate, on the theme, “Creating a Deliberative Platform for Quality Leadership” gave the candidates opportunity to share their vision with the association and also indicate how they would address some pertinent issues affecting the University Community.

The Director at the Environment and Growth Office of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Mr. Kevin Shan has called on the Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. John Nelson Buah at the Council Chamber.   On the purpose for the visit, Mr. Kevin Shan, who was accompanied by Mr. Justice Odoi, USAID Environmental Specialist said the team was on official duty to see the progress of work and the way forward for the Fisheries and Coastal Management Capacity Building Support Project and decided to take the opportunity to call on the Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. J. Nelson Buah.  

The National Executives of FUSSAG have paid a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast, Prof. D. D. Kuupole to discuss pertinent issues about the union.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, the National Chairman of FUSSAG, Mr. Atimbila Baba said their visit was meant to congratulate the Vice-Chancellor on his new appointment as the Chairman of the Vice-Chancellors Ghana.

A licensing coach and a representative of Building Community Through Tennis (BCTT), UK, Mr. Tunde Adefowora, has donated tennis kits and teaching aids to the University of Cape Coast Primary School at the school premises.

Mr. Tunde Adefowara said the donation was a result of discussions he had with Rev. Prof. Joshua Owusu-Sekyere of the Department of Agricultural Engineering, University of Cape Coast to support the school. He stated that the idea was to introduce tennis at the grassroots level to encourage children who normally would not have access to tennis.
