The University of Cape Coast (UCC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Szeged, Hungary, to establish academic collaboration in vocational and technical education, economics and tourism. 

The agreement is in line with UCC’s vision of establishing strategic global partnerships to enhance teaching, research, and capacity-building.

A team from the University of Cape Coast (UCC) TAGDev 2.0 Programme has embarked on a collaborative visit to its partner institutions in the Northern and Bono regions of Ghana.

The partner institutions are University for Development Studies (UDS) and the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR).

The immediate past Pro Vice-Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Prof. Ellis Owusu Dabo, has challenged universities in the country to explore ways of facilitating interdisciplinary work among postgraduate students.

That, according to him, would address one of the major gaps that many postgraduate programmes face as regards the lack of interdisciplinary opportunities.

The Archbishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Cape Coast, the Most Rev. Charles Gabriel Palmer-Buckle, has stressed the need for the Ghanaian education system to be designed to ensure total human development.

That, he said, would let the Ghanaian youth become future masters of their environment and globally competitive.

The Department of French at the University of Cape Coast (UCC), in collaboration with CATRIM Consulting in Côte d'Ivoire, has organised a Capacity-Building Seminar on Translation and Interpretation themed, "Translation and Interpretation as Strategic Tools for Organizational Growth."

The event emphasised the significance of translation and interpretation in society and marked the launch of the "Professional Training in Translation and Interpretation Initiative" by the Department of French and CATRIM Consulting.

The Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof Denis Aheto,  has received faculty and students on the Co-developing Decision Support System for Coastal Mangrove-based Socio-ecological Systems in Eastern and Western Africa (CoastMan).

The project (CoastMan) proposes co-production and uptake of a Multi-Criteria Decision Support System (DSS) that provides vulnerable communities and decision-makers a knowledge-based decision-making capacity for the restoration and conservation of socio-ecological systems.

The University of Cape Coast Faculty of Law (UCC Law) has launched its inaugural three-day advocacy training program in collaboration with Campbell University’s Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA.The program is designed to equip law students with essential and transferable advocacy skills that can be applied from the courtroom to the boardroom. This  joint initiative between the two institutions is aimed at enhancing the quality of legal education at UCC.
