Grantsmanship is the craft and skill of applying for grants. It requires a mix of skills for understanding and analyzing the needs of the grant opportunity you apply to, and responding to it appropriately. Scholarly skills are needed to harness the current literature in your field, and apply it convincingly in the grant application. Planning skills for time, cost, and procedures are also necessary.
