APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR OF ACADEMIC AFFAIRS

The University of Cape Coast invites applications for the position of Director of Directorate of Academic Affairs which will become vacant on 1st August, 2025.

 

Key Duties

The Director of Academic Affairs heads the Directorate of Academic Affairs. He/she is responsible to the Registrar for the implementation of academic policies and managing the general academic programmes of the University.

 

Qualification and Experience

Applicants must possess a minimum of postgraduate research degree in a relevant discipline with not less than twelve (12) years post-qualification experience in a reputable tertiary educational institution or analogous organisation.

 

An applicant must be a Deputy Registrar in a University or similar institution. Work experience at the rank of Deputy Registrar will be an advantage.

 

Applicants must be dynamic individuals with extensive computing skills as applied in the management of:

a.       student records

b.      admissions

c.       registration

d.      timetabling

e.       examinations

f.        score processing

g.      issuing of transcripts and certificates.

 

Term of Office

The position, which is full time, is for a four-year term, renewable for re-appointment for a second term only subject to favourable recommendations from Appointments and Promotions Board if the person is not beyond the statutory retirement age of sixty (60) years.
