The Vice-Dean of Students’ Affairs, Dr. Eugene Darteh, has called on International Students of UCC to be good ambassadors of the University in their respective countries.
“We have imparted a lot into you and as you prepare to go back to your various countries, we believe that you will be good representatives of the university,” he implored them.
Dr. Darteh made the call when he addressed International Students at a reception organised by the Centre for International Education at Elmina Beach Resort.
Dr. Darteh said the University said it was the expectation of University that with the training acquired, they would contribute meaningfully to the development of their communities in particular and countries in general.
The Dean of the Centre for International Education, Prof. Rosemond Boohene, said the University’s doors were opened to students from other countries. She said the University would continue to provide the best of service to International Students to experience world class education and as well as the rich culture of Ghana.
Prof. Boohene entreated the students to build networks among themselves so that they could establish good relationship which could create opportunities for them in various ways. She wished them well in their endeavours.
Awards were presented to deserving students at the function.
