The course offers an opportunity to the student to acquire and develop rhetorical knowledge and practices for studying and writing within discipline-specific contexts. Specifically, the student identifies general features of academic writing, using mainly the genre approach, some key linguistic/rhetorical theories, and concepts underpinning academic writing.
