UCC Students' Parliament House has resumed sitting for the First Meeting of the 20th Parliament for the 2022/2023 Academic Year.

 

The Students’ Representative Council Chief Justice, Justice Edmund Kofi Gunu, swore into office the new Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Edmund Owusu.

The Department of Physician Assistant Studies has held a consultative meeting with students to discuss pertinent issues about their academic and welfare concerns for the forward march of the Department.

 

The gathering afforded opportunity for faculty members and students to discuss a wide range of issues within the Department in particular and the University at large.

 
The School of Nursing of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) has hosted Nursing students from Salisbury University, USA,   as part of study Abroad Exchange Programme between the two universities.
 
The students, numbering seven (7), will seek practical exposure on Ghana Health systems. 
 
The visit also seeks to equip the students with basic knowledge to enable them appreciate their field of study and the interaction with students and faculty of UCC.

Fresh students of College of Humanities and legal studies receiving orientation

The University of Cape Coast (UCC) has held a three-day orientation programme for fresh students. 


The orientation, which was held at the college level, was to create awareness of the University’s rules and regulations as well as provide platform for them to interact with University Officials on matters relating to their academic work in the University.

Fourty-eight students of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) have received full scholarships from GoldFields Ghana Foundation.
 
The beneficiaries who were selected mainly  from Tarkwa (29 students) and Damang (19 students) host communities, received GH¢115,000.

A professor of Labour and Human Resource Studies at the University of Cape Coast (UCC) Prof. Akua Britwum , has launched a book that chronicles the seventy-five-year existence of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) Ghana in Accra. 

The Directorate Of University Health Services (DUHS) has honoured its hard-working staff at its annual end of year Staff Awards and Recognition ceremony.
 
The Deputy Director of DUHS Dr. James K. Prah, was adjudged the Best Clinician.
 
He received  a citation and a shield.
 
Other workers who were also outstanding in their services were awarded with certificates and citations.
