Further Information:

Christmas Cantata, a music and drama show about the birth of Christ is here to give more entertainment and meaning to our Christmas festivity.

The past years of Christmas have been championed by carols service but this year, IYF together with the UCC SRC is introducing this all new, fun packed and amazing show; Christmas Cantata.

The uniqueness of Christmas Cantata has made it possible to embark on a nationwide tour, happening in 9 cities. UCC has been blessed to be the host of the Cape Coast edition which falls on 9TH DECEMBER, 2017 at the Main Auditorium.

Two great shows will be held at 3PM and 6PM to entertain all students together with the following dignitarites:

Prof. Joseph Ampiah Ghartey, Vice Chancellor,

Prof. George K. T. Oduro, Pro. Vice Chancellor

Hon. Kwamena Duncan, Central Regional Minister

Hon. Thomas Adjei Baffour, Deputy Central Regional Minister

Ogua Manhene and senior members of the university.

1. With super amazing stage crafts that depict Jerusalem, the first drama starts with the scenes from the Census to the Kings Palace, oppression of the Romans on Israelites, Joseph struggling to get a room, Jesus born in a manger… to the birth of the King of Israel.

2. The second act depicts a story of Anna, born as a stubborn little girl who disturbs everyone in the neighborhood. But then a Christmas magic occurred and she found herself in a strange land where there was no love. Anna then comes to appreciate what it means to be loved.

These amazing and thrilling acts have been put together by GRACIAS CHOIR, the world’s best choir known to many in Ghana as the foreign choir that sings in local songs and performed by IYF Ghana.

Before the Christmas Cantata, there would also be some activities on the same day.
