7th USL Symposium 2016

The Humanitarian Affairs UK and the Vietnam Government, would like to cordially invite 15 promising students to attend the 7th University Scholars Leadership Symposium in Hanoi, Vietnam from August 1 to 7, 2016.

"University of Cape Coast has been selected to be on our priority list as we are inviting universities worldwide who provide holistic learning opportunities for their students to become world-class global citizens and future leaders."

The Symposium brings together over 1,000 delegates from more than 60 countries for a life changing experience. The 7th USLS, Inspiring Individuals, Transforming Communities, reinforces the idea of global citizenship by connecting like-minded individuals and inspiring student leaders to take actions to benefit communities in need. Humanitarian Affairs will help delegates identify themselves as global citizens through the stories they share and the humanitarian conflicts they present.

The Symposium will invite over 8 international speakers to highlight the humanitarian issues around the world. Tim Peters is an American Nobel Peace Prize finalist and the world’s most visible advocate for human rights in North Korea. Peters will return to the 7th USLS to address the challenges he overcame to gain the American government’s approval for the first North Korean refugee. Delegates will also have a chance to participate in various United Nations agency run workshops.
