The La-Wuogon Muslim Trust, a Local NGO has donated twenty Sony ICD-BX140 voice recorders to the University Library. The presentation was held at the Resource Centre for Alternative Media and Assistive Technology in the University Main Library. The donation was facilitated by the Campus Volunteer Foundation to assist the visually impaired students in their studies. Presenting the items, the Executive Director of the La-Wuogon Muslims Trust, Chief Kamar Been Ibn Farid Bongoluri indicated that it was a token to help the students and promised to support the students whenever there was the need to do so. Receiving the item on behalf of the Dean of Students, Mr. Eric Boro, Senior Assistant Registrar at the Office of the Dean of Students Affairs showed his excitement and appreciation for the donation. The donation, he said, would help the students to enhance their learning. Mrs. J. A. Opare-Adzobu, a Senior Assistant Librarian who was present said the donation would go a long way to help the students and also add to the resources available at the library. Present at the ceremony were the Deputy Director of La-Wuogon Muslims Trust, Iddrisu M. Pumaya, President, members of the Campus Volunteer Foundation and a cross section of the visually impaired students.
