The Medical Students Association(MSA), in collaboration with the Association of Business Students, has organised a health walk as part of the Health Week celebration of the Association on some principal streets of Cape Coast. The two-hour health walk started from the Sam Jonah Library forecourt through the East Gate, Accra-Takoradi road to Pedu Junction, Akotokyir road before ending at the Medical Hostel with an aerobic exercise and some health tips. The Walk, which drew students from other departments, was on the theme," Reducing the prevalence of Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI's) including Hepatitis B,through a Collective Responsibility." Speaking after the exercise, the president of MSA, Mr. Samuel Ekuban, said that the Health Walk was strategically organised to serve as a platform for building networks amongst students from different departments, as well as members of staff of the University. He noted that good health was crucial in ensuring a sound mind and healthy body, hence the need for all to exercise regularly and ensure a healthy life. As part of the activities marking this year's event, scheduled from October 3 to 9,2016, MSA would hold Symposium, Inter-School Debate, Cultural Concert, Radio Talk Show, STI Talk and Hepatitis B Awareness Creation, Inter Faculty Football Match, Thanksgiving, among other
