The Registrar of Free State University (FSU), South Africa, Mr. Nikile Ntsababa, has paid a working visit to the University of Cape Coast to familiarise himself with the administrative system of UCC.
At a meeting with the Registrar of UCC, Mr. Jeff Teye Onyame, Mr. Ntsababa stated that the visit was to follow up on the implementation of an existing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between UCC and FSU in Education with the Faculty of Science and Technology.
Mr. Ntsababa further noted that his engagement with the UCC Registrar and his team was to exchange ideas and best practices from the two institutions.
The Registrar of FSU used the opportunity to brief Mr. Onyame and his team about his institution and its governance structure.
In response, Mr. Onyame noted that UCC has a robust administrative and governance structure that had evolved over the years.
He explained the role of the Office of the Registrar and the various directorates, sections, offices and units under it.
Mr. Onyame expressed gratitude to Mr. Ntsababa for the visit and also choosing UCC for collaboration.
"At UCC, we believe in mutual satisfactory relationship with our partners. We will ensure that this collaboration yields fruit to the benefit of our institutions in particular and the African continent" Mr. Onyame added.
