The University of Cape Coast in partnership with the Judicial Training School has organised a two-day workshop for judges in the Central Region on management of public lands at the Ridge Royal Hotel in Cape Coast.
In his opening remarks, His Lordship Justice Samuel K. Marfo- Sau, Director of the Judicial Training School commended the Management of UCC and noted that the initiative was a laudable idea.
Giving the keynote address, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Johnson Nyarko Boampong called on all stakeholders to take pragmatic steps to protect public lands, particularly UCC lands as the University is on the verge of loosing all its lands to encroachers.
Present at the workshop were the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Johnson Nyarko Boampong, Pro Vice-chancellor, Prof. Dora Francisca Edu-Buandoh, Registrar, Mr. Jeff Teye Emmanuel Onyame, A representative of the Lands Commision and some Chiefs led by Osaberima Kwesi Atta II, Omanhene of the Oguaa Traditional Area.
