UCC Ready to Host Students from Marist College - Pro Vice Chancellor

The Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Rosemond Boohene, has expressed the preparedness of the University of Cape Coast to host students from Marist College, USA, as part of their five-week clinical rotation in Ghana.
 
According to her,  internationalisation was high on the agenda of UCC and the visit by the American students would  further boost the enviable image of the University on the global higher education map.
 
Prof. Boohene made the remarks during a visit by the Dean of International Programmes at Marist College, Dr. Gavin Webb, to the University.
 
Dr. Webb is in the University to see at firsthand the high-powered equipment and state-of-the-art facilities of UCC ahead of the planned visit of the American students.
 
Continuing, Prof. Boohene lauded the collaboration between Marist College and the Department of Physician Assistant Studies-UCC.
 
In a brief remark, Dr. Webb thanked management of UCC for the proverbial Ghanaian hospitality and expressed the hope that the contingent from Marist College would enjoy the clinical rotation in Ghana.
 
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Johnson Nyarko Boampong, earlier in his welcome address, reiterated the commitment of the University to collaborate with Marist University in interdisciplinary research  and indicated that the relationship between the two institutions would be a win-win for both parties.
 
Present at the short meeting were the Registrar, Mr. Jeff Onyame, among other top UCC officials.
