Salisbury University Nursing Students Visit UCC

 
The School of Nursing of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) has hosted Nursing students from Salisbury University, USA,   as part of study Abroad Exchange Programme between the two universities.
 
The students, numbering seven (7), will seek practical exposure on Ghana Health systems. 
 
The visit also seeks to equip the students with basic knowledge to enable them appreciate their field of study and the interaction with students and faculty of UCC. 
 
The School of Nursing-UCC has close partnership with the School of Nursing at the Salisbury University. 
 
The Dean of the School of Nursing-UCC, Dr. Nancy Ebu Enyan, who welcomed the students and Faculty of SU, walked the students through the academic programmes offered by the School of Nursing. 
 
She said the School was in touch with Salisbury University to explore research opportunities for both undergraduate and post-graduate training and noted that the arrival of the visiting students would further deepen the collaboration with Salisbury University.

 
A Fulbright scholar from the School of Nursing, Salisbury University, Prof. Tina Reid, for her part, said the students came to Ghana to explore the Ghana Health System and to know the Nursing programme offered by UCC. 
 
She extended gratitude to School of Nursing - UCC for the warm reception.
 
There were presentations on Ghana Health systems,Ghanaian culture, amongst others.
 
The students also toured academic facilities within UCC.
