APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR OF CONSULAR AND GENERAL SERVICES

The University of Cape Coast invites applications for the position of Director of Directorate of Consular and General Services which will become vacant on 1st August, 2025.

 

Key Duties

The Director of Consular and General Services is the Head of the Directorate of Consular and General Services. He/she is responsible to the Registrar for the implementation of academic policies and management of the general academic ecosystem of the University.  

 

Qualification and Experience

Applicants must possess a minimum of a postgraduate research degree in a relevant discipline with not less than twelve (12) years post-qualification experience in a reputable tertiary educational institution or analogous organisation.

 

In addition, an applicant must be a Deputy Registrar in a University or similar institution. Work experience at the rank of Deputy Registrar will be an advantage.

 

Applicants must be dynamic individuals with extensive knowledge in operational matters such as consular, general and other specialised services in the University.

 

Applicants must show evidence of management of diverse areas such as:

a.       visa acquisition, work/resident permits/matters for deserving staff/students

b.      postal and telecommunication services

c.       transportation services

d.      security and related matters

e.       management of pre-tertiary schools

f.        fire service matters

g.      printing press matters.

 

Term of Office

The position, which is full time, is for a four-year term, renewable for re-appointment for a second term only subject to a favourable recommendations from Appointments and Promotions Board if the person is not beyond the statutory retirement age of sixty (60) years.
