The Directorate of University Health Services is made up of the Hospital and the Environmental Health Section. The hospital which started as a clinic in 1963 was attached to the Adehye Hall. The hospital was later relocated to its present site.

The Hospital was initially meant to cater for the health needs of staff, their dependents and students. Currently, it serves these primary target groups as well as the general public especially the surrounding communities. The bed capacity of the Hospital is eighty (80).

The Environmental Health Section handles all environmentally related hygiene practices including cleaning, dislodging of faecal waste, spraying and fumigation services.
