The Centre for Gender Research, Advocacy and Documentation (CEGRAD), University of Cape Coast in Partnership with Freie Universitat Berlin has since 2019 been running a project under the theme Equal Opportunities in Higher Education Partnership for Institutional Change (EQUIP).
The project which is aimed at institutionalizing Equal Opportunities practices at UCC has an overall goal of establishing and improving institutional structures and processes that promote equal opportunities in higher education in the University. More specifically, it is aimed at sensitizing key institutional actors on existing structural inequalities in higher education. It is aimed in addition at identifying strengths and weaknesses in the institutions’ equal opportunity strategies, designing training modules and professionalizing key actors in the field of equal opportunities.
The partnership is also geared towards producing a 5-year action plan which lays out the institutional objectives, approaches and related actions for the implementation of an institutional equal opportunity policy at UCC and further the sub-region.
The theme for the Workshop is "Equal Opportunities in Higher Education: Partnership for Institutional Change (Equip) UCC-FUB"
The Workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, 24th November, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. at the UCC Library Seminar and on Zoom.
