A team from the University has visited the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital Nursing and Midwifery Training College, (KATH NMTC) Kumasi, to learn at firsthand preparations being made to receive students for the Post Professional Nursing Assistant Clinical (NAC) and Nurse Assistant Preventive (NAP) Access Course.
The Department of Forensic Sciences has held a stakeholders workshop to discuss a training course for personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) on Forensic Fire Investigation.
The training course is aimed at equipping officers of the Ghana National Fire Service with the requisite skills to conduct forensic investigation into incidents of fire and determine the true cause of such fires.

A former lecturer of the Department of Chemistry, Dr. Owusu Akyiaw Bempah, has developed a drug known as Fenomin Tablets for treating diabetes complications.
Dr. Bempah, explained that the tablets were a formulation of vitamin B1, B2 and B5 capable of preventing complications affecting all organs in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients. Other ingredients of the tablets he mentioned were dicalcium phosphate, cellulose, silica, magnesium stearate.

It is anticipated that the number of qualified students will double as a result of the huge increase in the enrolment figures of the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy introduced by the government in 2017.

The University of Cape Coast has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Final Vision (FvTech), a technology solutions company based in Canada, to provide lecturers and students access to educational materials from Database for Development & Excellence (AIDDE) e-library.
