The Dean of Graduate Studies, Prof. Sarah Darkwah, has inducted into Office, a new Chief Justice for the Graduate Students Association of Ghana (GRASAG), UCC Chapter into the Office of the Judicial Board for the 2020/2021 Academic Year. In an interview with Prof. Darkwah, she advised the inductee saying, “I look forward to him reflecting on and abiding by the words of the oath he swore to make GRASAG great.”
The newly appointed Chief Justice for GRASAG-UCC, Mr. Augustine Tankong, on his part, said his best foot during his tenure would be to spearhead a reform and also conduct a review of the Constitution with the support of the Dean, Management, and Executives of GRASAG-UCC. According to Mr. Tankong, putting the reforms in place would clear doubts and uphold the integrity and trust of the Judicial Board. The GRASAG-UCC President, Mr. Eric Adjei indicated that there is a crucial need to have all arms of government within the Association fully functional. He advised the newly sworn in Chief Justice to ensure that he considers all matters brought to his desk without fear or favor, and devoid of self-interests. Mr. Augustine Tankong, is a Master of Commerce (M. Com) Procurement and Supply Chain Management graduate student. The GRASAG Judicial Board is an organ of GRASAG-UCC and its purpose is to adjudicate matters of graduate students’ that need redress.
