Mfantsipim Old Boys Congratulate Registrar, Pledge Support

The Central Regional branch of the Mfantsipim Old Boys Association (MOBA) has paid a courtesy call to Gideon Enoch Abbeyquaye (Esq) at his office to congratulate him on his recent appointment as the Registrar of the University of Cape Coast (UCC).

The delegation was led by the President of the branch, Dr. Kenneth Aikins, who described Mr. Abbeyquaye as a dedicated and results-driven professional whose vast experience in administration makes him the ideal person for the well-deserved elevation to the leadership of Ghana’s topmost-ranked university.

The delegation congratulated Mr. Abbeyquaye on behalf of all members of MOBA.

They commended the new Registrar for his hard work that propelled him to his current position, adding that his elevation reflected the motto of their alma mater, “Dwen Hwe Kan” which translates to mean “Think ahead”.

"We are proud to see one of our own, a true Mfantsipim old boy and a loyal member of the association being recognised for his hard work and dedication," he added.

Dr. Aikins said MOBA was optimistic that the leadership skills and expertise of Mr. Abbeyquaye would bring great success to his tenure.

In his response, the Registrar noted that he was elated to have old students and some school authorities of his alma mater, Mfantsipim School calling on him.

He stressed that he would always be proud of the School for instilling discipline in him during his formative years.

Mr. Abbeyquaye thanked Dr. Aikins and the team for the courtesy call and best wishes in his new role.

He assured them that he would apply the professionalism and values of Mfantsipim in his new work environment.
