Pax Romana Choir has organised a concert to honour the immediate past Vice-Chancellor, Prof. D.D Kuupole, for a successful term in office.
The event, dubbed "Ayeyi Concert, was on the theme," ...And Praise the Lord Who Has Now Revealed in Man His Glory...."
Some guest choirs including Madonna Choir, PPCC Choir, Voices of Accountability Choir, St. Peter's Reg. Sem. Choir and Patrick Addaquay performed at the ceremony, which was held at the New Examination Centre. The auditorium went agog with seamless flow of specially arranged music from Pax Romana which electrified Prof. Kuupole to dance along with his family and well-wishers to the glory of God, as some congregants recorded the ecstatic mood of the Former Vice-Chancellor on their cellphones. Hugs, smiles and dance in praises to God took better part of the event which brought together Parish Priests, youth groups, lecturers, students, reps from religious bodies and Persons with Disability.
The Chairman of the occasion, the Provost of the College of Education, Prof. Eric Magnus Wilmot, paid glowing tribute to Prof. Kuupole. He recollected fond memories of Prof. D. D Kuupole during their heyday at Casely Hayford Hall.
Prof. Wilmont said during those heydays, he had a vision that Prof. Kuupole would become Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast. He urged the congregation to have faith and confidence in order to achieve success in life.
For his part, Prof. Kuupole, who served as Vice-Chancellor from 2012 to 2016, thanked God for bringing him that far of his journey in life. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Our Lady Seat of Wisdom Catholic Church for the honour done him. He thanked management, staff and students for their unwavering support during his tenure.
