The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Cape Coast (UCC) has received advanced computer equipment from Mariset Company Limited, also known as M-Plaza.
The items donated included five brand-new HP Prodesk desktop computers, one Computer UPS Smart system, nine Computer UPS units, and 14 Lenovo all-in-one computers.
Presenting the items, a Sales and Marketing Assistant at M-Plaza, Ms. Evalove Mensah, said the donation was to support teaching and learning in the school.
She said the donation formed part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility to enhance education in the country.
“We are really excited to support the School of Pharmacy to produce the best pharmacists in the world. We will continue to extend such support to the school,” she added.

Receiving the items on behalf of the School, the Provost of the College of Health and Allied Sciences, Prof. Martins Ekor, expressed gratitude to M-Plaza for their benevolence.
He said the equipment would enhance operations at the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and contribute to the overall efficiency of the College.
Prof. Ekor further called on other organizations to follow M-Plaza’s example and support the growth of the College.
"We appreciate the private-public partnerships because we know that the government alone cannot do it all. We can succeed in this endeavour with support from the corporate world," he noted.
The Dean of the School, Prof. Elvis Ofori Ameyaw, promised that the equipment wouldbe put to good use and properly maintained.
Prof. Ameyaw said the donation would significantly boost the school’s technical capacity, improving both administrative functions and academic work.
