UCC promotes 38 Security Personnel

The University of Cape Coast, UCC, has promoted thirty-eight (38) security personnel to various ranks for their dedication to work.

Out of the number, there were thirty-seven (37) males and one (1) female.

The personnel were promoted to the ranks of Senior Officer, Assistant Senior Officer and Senior Guard (Grades 1 and 2).

At a maiden Rank Wearing ceremony, the newly promoted personnel exhibited thrilling formation and marching skills at the forecourt of the Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Adow Obeng Central Administration to mark their elevation.

Provost of the College of Agricultural and Natural Sciences (CANS), Prof. Moses Jojo Eghan, and the Director of Consular and General Services, Mrs. Alberta Yaa Graham, inspected a parade mounted and conferred the ranks on the guards.

Addressing them, Prof. Eghan congratulated the guards on their promotion and advised them to live up to expectation as professional security guards.

He challenged them to demonstrate discipline, integrity, civility, decorum and professionalism to raise the enviable image of the University.

The Provost reminded them that their elevation to a higher rank meant more responsibilities and advised them to live beyond reproach in the discharge of their duties.

Prof. Eghan was appreciative of the effort made by UCC management to provide the Security Section with adequate logistics for its operations.

He encouraged the security guards to continue implementing all the best practices they had been taught and at all times remain loyal to UCC.
