A freshly graduated medical doctor from the School of Medical Sciences of University of Cape Coast, Nathaniel Nii Codjoe, was announced the winner of sixteen (16) awards at the second (2nd) session of the 55th Congregation held for the College of Health and Allied Sciences.

Out of twenty-two (22) awards, he was adjudged the best in Medical Biochemistry, Physiology, Microbiology, Community Medicine, Chemical Pathology, and Pharmacology, Best Clinical Student, Best Graduating Pre-Clinical Student, Overall Performance, Best Student in Family Medicine and Molecular Medicine with Certificate.

Both dignitaries present and graduands who had filled the New Examination Centre with a standing ovation applauded Dr. Codjoe, a former student of St. Peters Senior High School in Accra.

Dr. Codjoe, in an interview with reporters, attributed his success to the grace of God and hard work.

He used the occasion to eulogise his lecturers and family, especially his mother, for the support towards his medical education.

The newly-qualified medical doctor advised young doctors to live by the tenets of the ‘Hippocratic Oath’ because any action or inaction on their part could lead to permanent or irreversible consequences on human life.
