A thirteen-member Board of Trustees of the School of Economics Development Fund (SoEDFUND) has been inaugurated.
The members of the Board were unveiled at the launch of the School of Economics Development Fund on Wednesday April 4, 2022 which was on the theme, “Towards Building a World-Class Research-Intensive and Entrepreneurial School - The Role of Stakeholders."
Amongst others, the Board is tasked to raise GHS 20 million to support the setting up of a state-of-the art Economics Research Centre.
According to the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Mrs.) Rosemond Boohene, who chaired the function, the theme for the launch was in line with the firm commitment of the Vice-Chancellor to make UCC an entrepreneurial university.
Inaugurating the Board, Prof. Boohene expressed excitement about the dynamic mix of competencies and experiences on the Board. She charged them not to relent in efforts to mobilize funds for the initiative.
The Board of Trustees is chaired by former Minister of Finance, Prof. Kwesi Botchwey.
