Zoe, Akyea & Co. Legal Practitioners and Notaries Public (ZAC), a law firm based in Accra, has signed a partnership agreement with the Faculty of Law of University of Cape Coast as part of its 20th anniversary.

The partnership was in fulfillment of a pledge to support the winner of the 2022 National Law Challenge-Ghana contest.

A 10-member team of contestants led by  Erasmus Akotey Quartey and Mercy Yaa Abbrey Noble Donkor, of the Faculty of Law-UCC, emerged winners of the 2022 National Law Challenge-Ghana contest. UCC has been to the grand finale of the Challenge on three occasions and has won the coveted title twice.

In addition, the law firm would organise joint symposia with UCC Faculty of Law.

Speaking at the signing ceremony in Accra, the Head of ZAC, Mr. Samuel Atta-Akyea, noted that the partnership was to instill in students the principle of hard work and excellence irrespective of their backgrounds.

He commended UCC Faculty of Law for training highly competent and ethical law professionals who were poised to make a positive mark in the profession.

The Head of ZAC congratulated the contestants and UCC Faculty of Law on emerging winners of the 2022 edition of the Law Challenge programme.
