The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, ACCA, has handed over a state-of-the-art Resource Centre to the School of Business, University of Cape Coast.

The Centre will help students prepare adequately towards the professional examination of ACCA.

At the inauguration, the Provost of the College of Humanities and Legal Studies, Prof. Kwame Osei Kwarteng, expressed gratitude to ACCA for the gesture and noted that the facility would enhance research, teaching and learning.

The Pro Vice-Chancellor of University of Cape Coast, Prof. Mrs. Rosemond Boohene, has paid courtesy visits to the chiefs of Kokoadu Apewosika and Amamoma at their palaces.

Kokoado Apewosika and Amamoma are two of the communities surrounding the University.

The aim of the visit was to introduce herself to the chiefs as the Pro Vice-Chancellor and confer with them on how the University could assist their communities.

A lecturer at the Department of Basic Education, Dr. Joyce Esi Tawiah, has

underscored the need for teachers to turn their classrooms into innovative environments

to bring out the best in their students.

According to her, teachers should do away with the one-way method of teaching where

students were forced to swallow hook, line and sinker approach of teaching which

defeats the implementation of the new standard curriculum introduced by the Ghana
