Private sector development and research partnership systems are central in the development of any economy. As a result, the need for effective collaboration between the corporate world and academia in exchange of knowledge for pursuing strides that seek to develop sustainable growth in both the industrial and academic settings has become more essential.
The University of Cape Coast taking cognizance of this and in her quest to promote valuable debates on most fascinating subjects that are of critical importance to policy development and social growth of our country has through the Institutional Advancement Office, designed the UCC Advancement Lecture Series.
The UCC Advancement Lecture Series which will an annual event is aimed at providing an engaging platform for the involvement of Alumni, Professionals, Friends of University of Cape Coast, and Corporate Achievers to share through the delivery of public lectures on a wide range of development based subjects.
The maiden UCC Advancement Lecture Series which is being organized in collaboration with Joy FM is scheduled to take place on the 29th October, 2015 at UCC Main Auditorium. It features Messrs. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah and Abraham Amaliba (both UCC Alumni) as main Speakers on the topic: “A multipartite approach to combat corruption: How can we achieve this?” There would be substantive commentaries from leading members of recognized Civil Society Organizations and the corporate world.
