Vice Dean of the School of Nursing, University of Cape Coast, Dr. Paul Doku, has challenged government to push for growth in the private sector by vigorously engaging private tertiary institutions in its One District One Factory (1D1F) programme.

To him, the active participation of private tertiary institutions in such an important intervention by government could very much draw expertise from these institutions to enhance the program and ensure its overall success.

The Ghana Universities Staff Superannuation Scheme (GUSSS), University of Cape Coast (UCC) wing has held its annual general meeting (AGM) to engage contributors on activities of the Scheme.

Dr. Thomas Agyarko-Poku, Chairman of GUSS Management Board, in his opening remarks, explained that the meeting was convened to present the situational and 2021 Audited Financial Statements to members.

A thirteen-member Board of Trustees of the School of Economics Development Fund (SoEDFUND) has been inaugurated.

 

The members of the Board were unveiled at the launch of the School of Economics Development Fund on Wednesday April 4, 2022 which was on the theme, “Towards Building a World-Class Research-Intensive and Entrepreneurial School - The Role of Stakeholders."

The commitment of the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast (UCC), Prof. Johnson Nyarko Boampong, to transform UCC into a world-class entrepreneurial university has received a major boost following the launch of the Ghana Britain Partnership for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (GB-PIE) project.

 

The GB-PIE project is aimed at promoting innovation and entrepreneurship amongst the youth through knowledge transfer programmes.
