The University of Cape Coast Chapter of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International (FGBMFI) has donated items to the University of Cape Coast Counselling Centre.
The items included a 32-inch LED digital television with an in-built decoder, installation package and a dish.
Donating the items, the President of the UCC Chapter of (FGBMFI), Mr. Victor Godwin said the donation was to express appreciation to the Centre for hosting their weekly meetings. He noted that the Fellowship celebrated its 20th anniversary and as part of the anniversary celebrations they decided to make the donation to the Counselling Centre and Ankaful Prisons.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Provost of the College of Education Studies, the Director of the Counselling Centre, Prof. Godwin Awabil said the Centre was most grateful to them for the support. He said the donation would enhance the work of the Centre to provide counselling, which is a lifeline to students. He said, ‘the television will engage clients while waiting for their turns’.
Rev. Prof. J. K. Essuman of the Counselling Centre also thanked the FGBMFI for the gesture. He said the donation was timely.
Present at the short ceremony were Rev. Prof. K. O. Antiri and Prof. Eric Nyarko Sampson all of the Counselling Centre. Other members of the FGBMFI team were Mr. Edward Kofi Akyea, Treasurer and Ms. Diana Ama Dogbatse, Deputy Secretary.
