The School of Graduate Studies (SGS-UCC) in collaboration with the Graduate Students Association of Ghana (GRASAG-UCC) has held a research seminar for graduate students to educate them in the selection of their research topics, gap identification, and student-supervisor relationships.

The University of Cape Coast, in collaboration with the Students Financial Support Office, has

held the Maiden UCC Scholarship Awards ceremony for needy-but brilliant students in the

University.

2021 SCHOOL OF BUSINESS DEANS’ AWARDS

The School of Business of the University of Cape Coast (UCC), has presented educational books

and certificates to 186 high-performing students with a CGPA of 3.6 and above during its 2021

Deans Awards Ceremony.

The Africa Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience (ACECoR), University of Cape Coast has received two vehicles from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the University of Rhode Island's Sustainable Fisheries Management Project (SFMP).
 
The two vehicles Ford Escape SE and a Ford Everest were donated to facilitate the operations of ACECoR.

A lecturer at the School of Agriculture, Dr. Frank Kwekucher Ackah, has inspired some students of the University to enter into gardening in their halls of residence.
 
Through Dr. Ackah’s guidance, 40 students have cultivated cabbage, lettuce, cucumber, spring onions, and garden eggs. The students have cultivated the vegetables mainly in waste plastic buckets/containers and sacks in Adehye, Casely Hayford, Ogua, Valco, Kwame Nkrumah, and SRC Halls.  

UCC INAUGURATES KNOWLEDGE COMMONS AND SCHOLARLY COMMUNICATION UNIT

The Sam Jonah Library of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) has inaugurated a new

Knowledge Commons and Scholarly Communication Unit to enhance collaborative learning and

research amongst students, faculty, and the broader university community.

 

Speaking at the inauguration, the Chancellor of UCC, Dr. Sir Sam Esson Jonah, explained that a

library was an important organ of the university system that provided a lifeline for the academic

The University of Cape Coast has held a three-day University Management and Unions

Consultative Retreat with a purpose to create an avenue to build a continual and harmonious

relationship between Management and the Unions for the well-being of the University.

 

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Johnson Nyarko Boampong, who chaired the meeting in his opening

remarks, expressed gratitude to the delegates present at the retreat for their hard work and

heath screening

The University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG-UCC), in collaboration with the Ghana Association of University Administrators (GAUA-UCC), and the University of Cape Coast Health Services, has organized a week-long health screening programme for all Senior Members in the University. The programme was intended to form a medical opinion of the health status of UTAG and GAUA members.

The Dean of Graduate Studies, Prof. Sarah Darkwah, has inducted into Office, a new Chief Justice for the Graduate Students Association of Ghana (GRASAG), UCC Chapter into the Office of the Judicial Board for the 2020/2021 Academic Year. In an interview with Prof. Darkwah, she advised the inductee saying, “I look forward to him reflecting on and abiding by the words of the oath he swore to make GRASAG great.”
