A graduation ceremony has been held for the fourth cohort of the University of Cape Coast

(UCC) and University at Buffalo (UB) Leadership Empowerment Certificate Programme at

the University of Cape Coast. A total of 12 graduates were presented with certificates at the

ceremony.

The University of Cape Coast has organised an orientation programme for the first cohort of Police Cadet Officers admitted to pursue a Postgraduate Diploma in Security Studies in the 2020/2021 Academic Year.

The programme, which was held at Auditorium 900 in the C. A. Ackah Lecture Complex, was to expose the students to academic work and the University community in general.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast, Prof. Johnson Nyarko Boampong, has inaugurated 4 University Council approved Committees, and a Team that have been tasked to perform various functions for the University. Members of the Committees were drawn from diverse backgrounds, with varied experiences and expertise which are relevant to the corporate agenda of the University of Cape Coast. 

 

The Committees/Team are:

Members of the Association of African Universities (AAU), International Scientific Advisory

Board (ISAB), and Sectoral Advisory Board (SAB), have paid a courtesy call on Management of

the University of Cape Coast.

Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience (CCM-ACECOR), Prof. Dennis Aheto. He explained

The University of Cape Coast (UCC) has held a ceremony to launch the Institute

for Educational Planning and Administration (IEPA) as a UNESCO Category II

Centre of Excellence for West Africa.

 

Present to launch the IEPA as a UNESCO Category II Centre of Excellence was

the Minister of Education and Member of Parliament for Bosomtwe, Hon. Dr. Yaw

Osei Adutwum.

 

The University of Cape Coast has held a matriculation ceremony for fresh students of the 2020/2021 Sandwich academic year. The ceremony saw a total of 559 undergraduates and 1019 postgraduate matriculants presented by Provosts of Colleges to be matriculated.

Management, staff and students of the University of Cape Coast in collaboration with the Forestry Commission have embarked on a tree planting exercise on the University campus. Dubbed “Green Ghana = Green UCC”, the exercise is part of the Vice-Chancellor’s vision and falls in line with the Government’s Green Ghana Project. In all, fifty thousand (50,000) trees were earmarked for planting.

The University of Cape Coast (UCC) has conferred an honorary Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership degree on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo at a special congregation held in his honour.

The honorary degree, which is the highest honour given by the University, is in recognition of the President’s immense contribution to education in the country.
